If all text, images, and information are provided, a one-page website can be built in as little as three days. A 15-page website requiring copywriting and SEO for 50 images can take several weeks or longer. Before you commit, you'll be given an estimated completion date. During the build, you'll be kept updated at every stage.

Do I need to know anything about technology to have a website built?

Not a thing. All you'll need to do is provide information and answer questions about your business. If you can send an email, you have all the technical knowledge required.

Will I be able to update my website myself after it's built?

Most likely, Yes. Even with limited experience. That's one of the reasons for building websites on Squarespace. It's one of the most user-friendly website platforms in the world. Updating text, swapping out photos, and adding posts to a blog is fairly straightforward. We'll discuss your needs after the build and tailor a plan just for you.

What happens if something goes wrong with my website after it's built?

First, check the Squarespace Status page. If your issue isn't related to a system issue at Squarespace, just get in touch. For clients on a maintenance package, issues are dealt with promptly as part of the service. For clients who prefer a one-off solution, support is available at an hourly rate. Either way, you'll be taken care of as promptly as possible.

Every website in this portfolio was built, written, and optimised by me personally. I created a near-exact replica of a local Aberdeen, UK roofing company’s existing WordPress website on Squarespace, then added new pages, images, text and features. I then optimised the entire site for SEO/GEO, including rewriting existing text, resulting in it ranking on the first page of Google search for their four primary search terms. This also saved the company hundreds of pounds per month in “SEO and maintenance fees” and is now a full 15 pages.

First, I built this local Aberdeen, UK property management company a multi-page website from scratch. All text was written by me and most of the images were my original photography. This retired best-selling author of some 70 publications (mostly cozy mysteries and romance novels) wanted a website that would list all the books she wrote under each of her pen names with some basic information about each book including where to purchase them or find more information on them. I built her an eight-page website from the ground up, organised her full backlist chronologically by pen name, incorporated her existing book descriptions and biography, and optimised the entire site for SEO and AI search visibility.

Reganland.com is a travel website I recently built, focused on lesser-known destinations across France. This is my own personal project, and I've included it here because every word of copy and all of the photography is my own, and the whole site is optimised for SEO and AI search optimization in the same way I approach client work. It also shows the breadth of what I can create beyond small business sites - a completely different subject, with a different tone and style of writing than is found elsewhere in my portfolio.
